Dear Mom,
Just a note before I return to my unit. Thought I'd get a letter written but it just hasn't worked out.
I've been trying to work in a tour of the city while I was here without success. They have been consistently sold out. I did get to ride around a bit and walk some. It's quite an attractive city but confusing until you allow for its size.
I had hoped to be able to buy something for all of you but everything is frightfully expensive and I've had to give up the idea. Sorry.
Love,
Bob |
